This impressive Buddha statue made of natural stone measures 70 x 17 x 10 cm and weighs approximately 20 kg. It originally comes from the Tibet/China border region (Sichuan Province), was brought to Germany in the 1990s, and originates from a collection liquidation.
The Buddha is depicted in an upright posture, holding a pagoda in his left hand—a powerful symbol in Buddhist art. The pagoda represents the preservation of the Dharma (the teachings of the Buddha) and the stages of awakening. Its levels represent the elements of earth, water, fire, air, and emptiness—symbolizing the connection between humanity, the cosmos, and spiritual realization.
Its stand is an artfully crafted lotus flower – a symbol of purity, transformation and the blossoming of the spirit beyond the earthly.
